Diane Baker takes us thru Roots of Peace's "landmine for vines' with Activist Heidi Kuhn.

Roots of Peace was founded in 1997 with a clear mission: to rid the world of landmines by transforming toxic minefields into thriving farmland. Our vision of turning "Mines into Vines" seeks to restore the promise of hope and prosperity to afflicted communities throughout the world.

Heidi Kuhn and Mrs. Shamim Jawad visit Afghanistan to meet with President Karzai(President's office), lay the cornerstone of the Kyleigh Kuhn Roots of Peace School in Mir Bocha Kot, and witness the 2006 Grape Harvest in the Shomali Plains. (Read Heidi's Blog www.socialedge.org from the trip.)
