1080p projectors still cost mounds of cash: in the long awaited conclusion of our Home Theater Month, David and Patrick build one up from a Lumenlab DIY Projector Kit.
The problem is it's not full HD quality that is comming out of the projector I built this myself and it's pretty damn good, but still I perfer an HDTV over the projector I built. It's actually fun building your own if you know what your doing.
The amount of negativity in comments from people who never had the ability to do something on the makings of those who do have since long ceased to amaze me, now I accept it as a normal price for being different, thanks for the video. Just a side note : if i recall from lumen labs documentation which I read way back the price of the used lamp is in the range of 15 $ compared to the 250 + dollar price tag of a comercial projector I think that no one in their right mind and have the skill to build one would not at the very least think of it, I myself even though hae purchased a comercail; projector am playing with the idea and will eventually get to it once i do have the time.

me and my dad built this on and spent 400. But I got a new a projector at best buy and prefer it over his.
Totally not what I was looking for.
This video is not on how to build a projector. It is on how to loose your time building a gimmick of poor video quality that you can't really move.
Two guys having fun at a handwork project on which they can use (badly) their tools.
You better buy a real projector. Costs are down and the quality keeps improving.
