In the Meantime
Carla, a recent college graduate from the small town of Niceville, FL, moves to the big city of Chicago and joins the purgatory of a temporary employment agency. She meets Rob, who has recently lost his wife and his fulfilling long-term job and who still believes that there is something wonderful in the world for him. She meets Jyo, the unmotivated actor who is spinning his wheels and hoping that fate throws fame his way instead of pursing his craft. Carla meets the over-educated Jamie, who compensates for his self doubt by belittling those around him. And she meets Billy, the zealous urban cowboy who is seemingly content with his lot in life as a permanent temporary and is excited about living for the moment.

The weird arbitrariness of the magic in the interview scene was good. The boss is an amusing physical comic.
Constructive criticism: the subplots for actor guy and Russian lit guy were cliché. The scene where the actress rejects dudebro was pretty good; she needs to watch less The Office, though. Her mannerisms are so uncannily Pam-like that I kept forgetting she wasn't actually. Urban cowboy's jokes about stealing shit were clichés. Biggest problem with this show; it's parodic of a parody to begin with, and it often feels like second- or third-generation xerox. Conclusion: more weirdness, less homage and cliché.
I thought it started out funny... but actually lost it's funny after about two minutes. Trying too hard to be like "The Office" is true... and does not compete. Give Up.
I think it tries too hard to be The Office, but never succeeds. Some of the dialogue just did not make sense, neither did some of the characters. The interview was kind of funny in a quirky way. Otherwise, I thought I was watching the party skit on "Whose Line" and trying to guess each character's quite obvious neuroses.
Funny! Original! Just like the writer/director that I had the pleasure to meet!

Looking forward to more projects!
This was by far the best of the bunch. What a clever, funny show that truly had the ability to be a continuing situation comedy adventure. I want to know what happens next. Two thumbs up +
Dayna, I really enjoyed your video. Good characterations... snappy dialogue.
Overall, it's a delightfully loopy confection.
Best of luck with it.
Wow -- really resonates for me -- warm, round characters -- everybody can relate to this situation, whether they've been into temporary employment or not, as this is the microcosm of any office work place! Five stars!
that really stunk. I didn't laugh once. Sorry, maybe it just wasn't my thing... but I thought it was pretty lame
