Popeye the Sailor: Insect to Injury
Based on the character from Elzie Segar's Thimble Theatre comic strip, Popeye the Sailor was first brought to the screen in 1933, by animator Max Fleischer and his brother, Dave. Although Fleischer left the series in 1942, Mae Questel--who had given voice to his best-known original creation, Betty Boop--continued as Popeye's girl, Olive Oyl, until 1957.
Comments
The cartoon is of good quality. The feature is not your standard Popeye where he fights Bluto. In this one Popeye takes on a bunch of termites and gives them a spinach meets Orkin man type beating.
